Responsibilities, Qualifications, & Details:
The Administrative Assistant/Configuration Control Specialist will support the Power Engineering team at the Pompano Beach facility with administrative assistance, engineering coordination / configuration management, customer support, and engagement activities. This individual will be responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. This individual will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Perform wide variety of administrative support activities, which require the handling of business-sensitive and confidential information
Experience with Engineering Configuration Management & Control
Experienced Administrative Assistant in an Engineering Environment
Superb written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization, including executives and customers
High level of proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and associated software
Able to adapt to ever changing priorities
Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
Resourceful, proactive, assertive, detail oriented, energetic, with flexible attitude
Ability to work well in team environment and to perform under pressure and against tight deadlines
Ability to support multiple projects/tasks and balance conflicting needs
Working knowledge of PTC Windchill 10.2 Product Lifecycle Management software
Ability to work proactively, independently and with minimum supervision

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide office leadership and administrative support for members of the team
Perform wide variety of administrative support activities, which require the handling of business-sensitive and confidential information
Develop presentations, agendas, correspondence and memoranda for a variety of internal and external executive populations and create executive level charts, reports, and correspondence using the Microsoft toolkit
Interface with Long Island to help achieve joint business goals. Consistently connect and interact with management across facilities, in order to enhance communication and support employee’s needs
Assist with interview coordination and new hire assimilation
Coordinate & manage the logistics for all customer meetings and events
Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, placing and expediting orders for supplies including office supplies, coffee supplies, general clerical duties
Administer Conference Rooms and complete monthly updates to the communication boards, dashboards, & bulletin Boards
Support engineering team in all development programs incorporating, keeping documentation up-to-date and maintaining Engineering Reports Log
Support Engineering Department and Configuration Management Specialist following requirements through Windchill and ORACLE through the Project & Products Lifecycle. Creating parts lists for Bids, pre-release and release processes in order to order parts
Prepare data packages including drawings and Bill of materials together in order to send them through the DRN process
Collaborate with material Leaders & Supply Chain with parts procurements
Security System (ePass) – Controlling access to our facility – act as Assistant Security Focal.
Assist customers and employees with the process to transfer data through eDistrib system to facilitate bidirectional data exchange between GE Aviation and its customers, partners, and suppliers world-wide in a manner that protects proprietary information and that complies with U.S export control laws
Lead the Engagement Team to arrange activities including: Food Drive, Support the Troops, School Drive, Breast Cancer Walk, organize related employee appreciation, and arrange breakfasts and luncheons

Qualifications and Requirements:

High School Diploma / GED
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an administrator role in an Engineering Environment
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Configuration Control Specialist role in an Engineering Environment


Desired Characteristics

Bachelor’s Degree in business from an accredited college or university
Experience with Engineering Configuration Management & Control
Experienced Administrative Assistant in an Engineering Environment
Superb written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization, including executives and customers
High level of proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and associated software
Able to adapt to ever changing priorities
Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
Resourceful, proactive, assertive, detail oriented, energetic, with flexible attitude
Ability to work well in team environment and to perform under pressure and against tight deadlines
Ability to support multiple projects/tasks and balance conflicting needs
