Administrative Clerk - Part-Time

Adecco is recruiting to fill a Administrative Clerk at a global health company located in Parsippany, NJ.

Position is 30 hours per week - must be flexible with the business needs of the department.

Library experience would be extremely helpful.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs a range of general and specialized duties in the areas of global content management and global digital asset management in Content Central Vault.

Areas of performance include (but are not limited to):

  • Collaborate and assist team members on projects and various initiatives with digital collections from photographers and agencies, including but not limited to the creation of basic descriptive and metadata information.
  • Ensure international usage rights are specified in metadata and images linked to all materials where used
  • Performing quality check, analysis, and correction of metadata, materials and digital image files as per our business standard
  • Digitizing photographs and documents
  • Creating metadata and controlled vocabularies
  • Contribute to the formulation of global content management strategy
  • Design and create taxonomy and hierarchies that facilitate access to and logical organization of content
  • Work cross-functionally to utilize and execute taxonomy and facilitate workflows
  • Develop reports to support KPIs
  • Gather user requirements and translate them to functional/technical requirements
  • Plan and manage usability testing and related user research activities
  • Consult with customers to ensure solutions are business driven and customer centric
  • Partner with IT consultants to ensure user experience requirements are accurately translated into designs
  • Partner with IT to align activities and tools
  • Assist with other ongoing or project-based assignments as needed;


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Familiarity with cataloging, metadata, and related standards and practices
  • Understanding of classification schemes including taxonomy and thesauri and experience developing them
  • Knowledge of MODS, Dublin Core, or other digital library standards
  • General knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, RSS, JavaScript, and HTTP is a plus
  • Proficiency using standard office software, hardware, networked environments, and equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of digital library systems and standards, and long term data preservation concerns.

Education and Experience

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree;
  • At least two years of relevant technical experience in a library, archives, or information center (extremely helpful).
