· Assembly and Test Technician

 

GENERAL SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the assembly and testing of  Medical Products ventilators and

accessories in accordance with engineering drawings and instructions.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities (Other Functions May Be Assigned)

· Assemble ventilators in accordance with engineering drawings and instructions.

· Complete the required assembly documentation.

· Evaluate any issues encountered during assembly and determine the root cause.

· Document all issues encountered and recommend corrective actions and improvements.

· Test ventilators in accordance with engineering testing procedures.

· Record test data and verify that all data is within specifications.

· Evaluate any issues encountered and determine root cause and corrective action.

· Maintain all test and assembly equipment in proper operating order.

· Have a complete understanding of the operation and function of ventilators and

accessories and be able to read and understand all drawings, procedures, schematics and

engineering instructions.

· Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical

publications, maintaining personal networks.

· Provides technical expertise to the Manufacturing Organization.

 

· Quality

· Perform responsibilities as described in this Job Description in a manner which is in

compliance to applicable internal quality procedures and to the relevant requirements of

external quality system regulations as described in the company Quality Manual.

· Provides contact point for quality issues in the Assembly and Test Departments.

· Participates as required in Quality Reviews.

· Participates in regulatory activities in accordance with the requirements of the relevant

standards and regulations. For example, the Medical Device Directive and the FDA QSR.

· Maintains a neat and clean workspace in accordance with the GMP.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· 3 years experience in electromechanical assembly and testing

· High school graduate or equivalent

· Computer ability such as Microsoft Office skills

· Good writing and speaking skills

· Must be able to read, write and comprehend English

· Drug Free

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Able to lift 50 lbs. often and 75 occasionally
