Assembly Technician

This is an entry-level position; minimal experience is required.  The most important qualifications are:  an ability to learn, the ability to consistently apply what you have learned, and an ability and willingness to communicate with others.  In this position, you will be responsible for the assembly and testing of electrical assemblies and products by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES in either the electrical and/or mechanical fields include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Read and interpret technical assembly drawings, along with the following work instructions, to build electronic assemblies for component parts
  • Be responsible for mechanical assembly from stock components to final testing
  • Perform tool testing procedures, record data, and prepare certification per work instructions

    SKILLS

     

  • Intermediate troubleshooting ability on electrical and/or mechanical equipment
  • High attention to quality and appearance of finished product
  • Read and evaluate technical drawings and specifications
  • Apply a mechanical aptitude to solve problems
  • Experience in using torque and electrical measurement devices is a plus
  • Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities
  • Electrical or mechanical assembly skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and time reporting software
  •  


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
    None

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
     

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools
  • Experience building PCs is directly applicable, but not required
  •
