POSITION: Associate Brand Manager
LOCATION: Englewood Cliffs, NJ
DURATION: 6 months (contract)


Background & Purpose of the Job
Our client has a $800M+ brand with an 80-year heritage and the highest household penetration of any personal care brand in the US. The brand can be found in 1 out of every 2 American households and sells one unit every 14 seconds.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do
You will have the opportunity to manage the client body wash business with a level of autonomy not typically available to associates. You will carry out many of the tasks typically associated with a U.S. Operations role – including forecasting, tracking sales performance, and supporting CD and customer teams – but will also have the opportunity to lead a limited amount of new product development, asset creation, and media planning. The role sits within the hair team under Masterbrand and also works closely with the Personal Wash team, which includes attending monthly PW CCBT meetings. The position reports directly into the Masterbrand Brand Manager, who oversees the body wash, deodorant, and body lotion businesses for client.

You’re a dot connector: You can take learnings from one part of the business and use them to strengthen and improve the business in other areas

What You’ll Need To Succeed

Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
Minimum 2 years of marketing experience, preferably in consumer brand marketing
Analytical capability to manage and forecast volume, address business issues, chase business opportunities and make strategic recommendations
Strong bias for action and accountability both for self and others
Willingness to engage in robust discussions and air your own point of view
Ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders
Experience in the U.S. market desirable
