Assistant Video Producer

Adecco creative is assisting our client, a well-known children’s educational publisher, in their search for an Assistant Video Editor. This is a full time freelance role, working 35 hours per week onsite in the client’s downtown Manhattan offices, and expected to last for 6 months with the possibility of becoming temp to perm.

The Assistant Video Producer will report to the Director of Video Production and perform the following tasks as needed:

  • Format and send scripts to voice over talent
  • Search stock sites for audio and video content
  • Find music and sound effects
  • Edit and mix audio
  • Track the workflow of freelance editors and coordinate the delivery of all assets between producers, the photo department and freelancers
  • Log requested assets in excel worksheet and coordinate with delivery of assets and final credits with the photo editor
  • Render and review videos for final delivery
  • Edit Spanish videos
  • Create graphic elements for the videos as needed

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of professional experience
  • Visual storyteller with good design skills
  • Expertise with Audition and Audacity
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects at a time
  • Must be a self-started with strong project management skills
  • Must enjoy working with people
  • Video, audio and photo research required. Familiarity with stock agencies and photo research a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Spanish speaker preferred
  • An interest in education and children’s programming
