Adecco Creative and Marketing is currently assisting a fashion/ retail client located in Mahwah, NJ in their search for a temporary Associate Creative Director of Print and Photo for a maternity leave - approx. 6 months. 

Excellent opportunity to work at a well-known women's fashion retail brand set on a beautiful campus in Mahwah, NJ. 

 

The Associate Creative Director drives the development of seasonal creative direction for photo, design, and typography. The candidate must have extensive management experience and an expertise and passion for design, typography and photography. Must be passionate about fashion and be familiar with current design trends and best practices for both print & digital asset creation. Creative collaboration between multidisciplinary teams is essential to help support the brands creation of innovative 360 multi-tiered campaigns. Critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are required.

 

-  With an omni-channel point of view, collaborates daily with cross-functional directors to concept and execute seasonal marketing initiatives including direct mail, interior and exterior store signage, packaging, national campaigns etc.

-  Drives and executes seasonal brand (location) photography. Including pre and post production, all photo-editing. 

-  Drives talent casting and model testing strategy.

-  Develops new photographer, stylist, and agent relationships to continually test new talent. Will continuously evolves photography standards including, hair, makeup, lighting, and overall seasonal brand aesthetic.

-  Developing new ecommerce thumbnail art direction

-  Developing ecommerce photography standards guide to facilitate brand right execution by external team.

-  Drives seasonal still life photography direction

-  Directs and captures social content assets on seasonal brand shoots leveraging all social media image capture tools.

-  Works closely with shoot producer to manage budgets and forecast seasonal photography needs, so budgets are allocated properly and assets are maximized.

-  Collaborates with merchants and merchant coordinators to create merchandise stories that align with monthly marketing initiatives. Also collaborates with VP of visual to develop store marketing collateral.

-  Provides retouching direction to Production Director

-  Drives seasonal graphic design direction, including typography, font exploration, illustration.

-  Responsible for seasonal concept development, creative brainstorming with cross-functionals and art directs team through seasonal execution.

-  Understands and is able to manipulate messaging through design and typography to ultimately influence customer behavior.

 

 

Requirements & Skills:

-  10-15 years of experience in graphic design, photography, and creative direction.

-  10+ years experience managing and art directing multiple direct reports and external talent - utilizing their strengths to manage area workload and deliver top-notch design.

-  On-set photo art direction experience (on figure and still-life).

-  Graphic Design degree or equivalent experience required

-  Expert knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Bridge and InDesign

-  Understanding of color and color theory and it's use in print production

-  Advanced understanding and experience with typography and image.

-  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, have a strong attention to detail and meet deadlines.

-  High taste level and sophisticated, elevated eye for design.
