Seeking a SOX Testing Specialist within the SOX Program Management Office which executes a company-wide program for SOX 404 continuous compliance. The Testing Specialist will support the SOX Process Leads by communicating functional knowledge for walkthroughs, corporate wide projects and other initiatives. Additionally, you will be an advocate of education by effectively communicating to our business partners, including non-finance individuals, on the importance of controls, maintaining an effective control environment and their role in assuring compliance. The role also includes expanded responsibilities for supporting SOX Readiness and Change Management areas. 

The Business Entity and Team 
Cisco’s Finance Operations Sector drives internal processes for the greater financial enterprise. The SOX Program Management Office executes a company-wide program for SOX 404 continuous compliance. This individual will work as a part of a highly skilled team primarily tasked with providing specific guidance and managing accountability for program ownership for various Sarbanes-Oxley initiatives within the financial space. 

Role & Responsibilities 
• Partner with the SOX Process Lead within the SOX PMO for the execution of core SOX activities 
• Testing execution of defined internal controls for the Sox processes and any other processes as needed. 
• Updating and/or implement SOX control verbiage and test plans as warranted 
• Execute quarterly testing of operational effectiveness of key financial controls 
• Maintain changes/updates in the SOX System of Record (OpenPages) 
• Prepare and report out metrics for the Sox key processes to PMO Management and cross-functionally to Process Team Leads 

Desired Qualifications 
• Bachelor’s degree required with a strong academic record (CPA preferred) 
• Minimum of 2-4 years of Finance/Accounting experience 
• Excellent organization skills with attention to detail. 
• Ability to communication effectively with strong interpersonal skills 
• Ability to work with cross functional teams 
• Strong accounting and analytical skills with proven ability to apply knowledge 
• Familiar with OpenPages or other risk/compliance-based software (system application administrator experience preferred)
