Responsibilities for this Automation Engineer job include:

  • Work with existing manufacturing equipment to automate processes that will speed production and free personnel for other jobs
  • Design, draw, ascertain needed parts, work with purchasing to source parts, build, test, and troubleshoots newly automated functions.
  • Use knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic controls to create the required automation
  • Ability to chart, in detail, the operating sequence of a proposed machine or operation
  • Equipment must be engineered to meet national safety standards

           

Qualifications:

  • 3-5yr + exp in automation, electrical testing and assembly. Strong electro/mechanical skills as well as pneumatic and industrial controls including sensors, controllers, actuators, and HMI panels.
  • Knowledge of MSWord, Excel, Access, AutoCAD 
  • Associates’ degree minimum, or the equivalent in a related technical discipline
  • Professional attitude and ability to work within a team environment
