POSITION: Data Acquisition and Stewardship
LOCATION: Whippany, NJ 07981 (No Remote Work - Must be onsite in Whippany, NJ. (No per diem, no travel reimbursements, or other expenses offered)
DURATION: 12/31/2018
PAY RATE: Adecco W2 all-inclusive hourly rate / Dependant on qualifications and experience

DEPARTMENT/TEAM DESCRIPTION: Commercial Data Strategy and Reporting – Responsible for informing business strategy by enhancing operational effectiveness, optimizing the flow of data, and ensuring data is reliable and relevant to stakeholders to help them make data driven decisions.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Data Acquisition and Stewardship role will support the data acquisition and stewardship for an upcoming Oncology Launch. This role will support internal data requests as it relates to their assigned brand/s, will help ensure alignment on data and reporting requirements between Bayer internal stakeholders and 3rd party providers (i.e., HUBs, Specialty pharmacies, Data processor/aggregators, Distributors) and facilitate file deliverables. In addition, this role will assist in the on-boarding of third party data sources that would be useful to support product launches and brand strategies.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: List the primary job duties and responsibilities using headings and then give examples of the types of activities under each heading.
• Assist in gathering business requirements and provide guidance and direction to IT development team to meet stakeholder reporting and IC needs
• Coordinate with IT and third party suppliers to resolve data delivery issues or delays
• Assist in reporting project management with third party vendor
• Investigate / evaluate new data sources to support business decisions
• Facilitate implementation of new data sources and distribution channels (SPs, SD, etc.)
• Review and assess IC and rebate deliverables for accuracy
• Monitor and review recurring reporting deliverables through QC dashboard

Education Requirement(s):
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree – Business, Computer Science, Business Intelligence or similar discipline.

Skill & Competency Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in the pharma industry, with an understanding of the commercial data landscape for the specialty products pharmaceuticals market;
• Project management experience;
• Ability to work in a Team-oriented environment;
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present ideas in a clear and user-friendly language;
• Strong attention to detail and solid analytical and problem solving abilities;
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
• Understanding of data retrieval languages to support data investigations and reporting

• Ability to understand pros, cons, and limitations of third party supplied data, as well as have an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of third party players involved (i.e., HUBs, specialty pharmacies);
• Understanding of logistics and distribution processes for specialty products (ie. buy & bill);
• Familiarity with dashboard KPI reporting for business stakeholders
