Adecco Direct Placement is recruiting on behalf of our esteemed client in the North Charlotte area for the position of Bilingual (Spanish) Accounting Manager. Qualified candidates for this opportunity will be fully fluent (spoken and written) in Spanish and English, as well as at least 5 years of experience in accounting/financial analysis in a manufacturing based environment. A Bachelors Degree is also required for this role. Please see a list of duties and responsibilities below:


Invoicing all orders for Latin America
Processing all commissions for Sales People and External Dealers and Distributors
Apply cash as received daily; understanding all payments plans agreed with customers
Ensure proper controls are in place including approval authorities for credit, credit notes, pricing, discounts, free of charge, commissions, etc
Process journal entries for commissions, cash accounting for branches in Argentina and Colombia and other journal entries
Review accounts receivable aging and analyze doubtful reserve monthly
Partner with Sales Managers and Directors to execute collection activities
Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department
Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger maintenance
Prepare and Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the Accounting Manager and VP Finance’s attention
Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist Shared Services Center with conducting audits
Conduct regular ledger maintenance
Accruals sufficiency
Assist in annual budget and forecast development
Prepare and analyze profitability by product, project, customer, business unit, division, etc
Analyze and communicate financial indicators of the region
Other duties and projects as assigned


Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required (Master’s preferred)
6+ years’ experience in General Accounting with at least 2 years as Senior Accountant
Experience with computerized ledger systems. A+ Enterprise II experience
Advanced knowledge of Excel – This is extremely important
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
Fully bi-lingual (English – Spanish)
Willing to travel mostly to Michigan (Location of Accounting Shared Services for the LATAM region)
