1.Mail paper claims and include notes & referrals as required.
2.Work return statements: calling patients for updated information and checking resources (UMC, @YS, Medicaid, Medicare)
3.Complete review of patient accounts from AR report.
4.Work charge rejections from BBP and clearinghouse.
5.Assist in other job functions within the assigned team.
6.Resolve most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.
7.Take patient calls while upholding patient satisfaction guidelines and standards.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm

Pay: $17/hr

Knowledge: CPT and ICD-9/10 coding required.

Skills: Type at least 45 wpm and 10 key proficient. Basic computer skills required. Good oral and written communication skills required.

Experience: Minimum one year billing experience in a high volume medical clinic required; multi-specialty setting, Medicare and/or Medicaid billing experience preferred.
