Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Billing/Traffic Administrator (Shipping Clerk)  role in Garden City, NY!  Apply now if you meet the qualifications listed below!

 

Location: Garden City, NY

Hours: 9am-6pm  Monday- Friday OT required

Pay Rate:  $18 per hour 

Duration: 2-3 months + contract with possibility of extension

 

Description:

Generate and process packing slips/invoices for all finished product, coordinating with each related department to ensure product is shipped with the required shipping documentation, barcode labels and routed in accordance with customers’ purchase order requirements  

  • Upon receipt and distribution of Request for Invoice:
    • Review system inventory on hand and confirm serialized units (where applicable) are available for shipment
    • Generate and print packing lists, C of C’s and commercial invoices (where applicable)
    • Prepare customer required Bar Code labels for individual units and shipping containers
    • Prepare government shipping/receiving documentation (DD250) as well as Requests for Government Bill of Lading (DD 1659)
    • Prepare necessary documentation/customs paperwork for international shipping
    • Maintain Departmental Log of Invoice/Packing List numbers with priority and special shipment instructions, ship date, carrier and method of transportation 
    • Assist in month end sales reconciliation and discrepancy reports
    • Upon completion of Quality Assurance review, prepare shipping documents and call trucking company for pick up
    • Confirm shipments in system after product is taken by carriers
    • Maintain monthly file for Bills of Lading/Invoices
    • Access customer websites/portals in connection with shipments

 

Requirements:  

  • High School Diploma; prior traffic/shipping department experience helpful
  • General office skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Oracle experience in Billing/Shipping preferred
  • Experience with Web portals (ExoStar, Boeing, PWC, etc.) preferred
  • Experience with carrier software (UPS/Fedex) preferred
  • Knowledge of Customs and government paperwork preparation and shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments
