Project Manager
We are looking for an individual to join the Strategic Initiative team as a Project Manager. This person will lead several growth expansion or internal development projects for the Business Intelligence team until the end of December.
Responsibilities Include:
• Performing all required project management activities and provides subject matter expertise in areas including project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on established project management techniques
• Conducting requirement planning sessions and creating/maintaining project plan
• Leading or attending all project related status and implementation meetings
• Managing project resources and project team
• Completing budget forecasting & tracking throughout project life cycle
• Defining, mitigating or monitoring all project risks or issues
• Making presentations to management or others on project updates, project cycle, and expected results as needed
• Ensuring projects are completed on time and in scope
• Using pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within area of expertise
• Investigating non-standard requests and problems, with some assistance from others
• Prioritizing and organizing own work to meet deadlines
Required Experience & Skills:
• Person must have a minimum of 3 years of project management experience using PMI standards on corporate projects; this time should include leading as a Project Manager
• Experience managing projects through a complete project cycle (initiation to closing)
• MUST have intermediate MS Office skills, this is particularly necessary with Excel, Word and Project
• Self-starter who can work independently and manage projects with little oversight
• Organized, detailed oriented, and can lead multiple projects at the same time
• Effective communication skills; must be comfortable working with individuals at all levels within the organization including people offshore
• Person should be comfortable with technology and be comfortable handling administration tasks such as user set ups, requesting various application access, working with technical support to resolves issues, etc.
Preferred but not Required Experience/Skills:
• Technical and/or Healthcare Experience
• Experience with SharePoint & Webex
• Experience working as part of a Remote/Virtual Team
• Person should be working towards or have achieved certification in project management (PMP Certification)
Our preference is to have this person located in Pittsburgh but will consider candidates in our Arizona or Minnesota locations also.
