Job Title: Marketing Communications Specialist III
Location: Spring, TX – No relocation assistance, per diem, or other expenses can be offered
Start Date: 10/30/2017
End Date: 10/10/2020- contract assignment
Work Schedule, M-F - 40 Hrs


Provides leadership, consultation and coordination for the development and deployment of communications strategies for a selected GBU/LOB (Global Business Unit/Line of Business) consistent with brand strategy.
Acts as key point of contact internally and externally for the development of marketing communications strategies.
Manages execution of integrated marketing communications programs working with internal clients and 3rd party agencies from project briefing to creative development and production to measurement.
Plans, manages and stewards marketing communications budgets.
Ensures the use of established Global Brand Guidelines and oversee the implementation of the brands
across areas of assignment.
Supports GBU/LOBs in the development of brand strategies, positioning and builds support through the organization with key stakeholders and others in support of those strategies.
May act as asset owner for components of the brand communications (website content, print literature, etc.).
Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position.


Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office. Proven ability to manage multiple projects in deadline driven environment.
Specific Job Requirements/Skills This position requires strong communication and analytical skills in providing advice to clients on community, media, government relations, communications, issues management and other areas as required.
Must provide top tier service within assigned budgets.
Candidate must be able to work independently, think strategically and implement tactically while demonstrating strong leadership and flexibility.
This position also requires the ability to handle a heavy workload while fully engaging with internal project teams and external stakeholders.


The ideal candidate will have 7+ years’ large. global corporation experience with a strong understanding of public and government affairs, issues management, stakeholder, community and media
Develop communication plans, engagement plans, media response statements, project fact sheets, strategic issue advocacy plans, crisis communications plans
Collaborate with project team to create strategic, integrated approach to complex issues
Provide council to clients on P&GA guidelines and processes (PSOEs, media, CP, RS)
Effectively manage potentially hostile situations with external stakeholders • Ensure cross-functional management and awareness of issues impacting respective b/l
Lead contact for managing editorial calendar for internal EMES articles
Stewardship of $200K contributions budget·
Strong, professional communication style, verbal and written; familiarity with AP Style
Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels within the organization
High energy drive to succeed; strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
Capability to quickly manage competing priorities leveraging internal/external resources
Self-starter who is able to function effectively in an ever-changing environment.
Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint and social media (FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) proficiency
WordPress and other web skills/experience a plus Key


Leadership, analytical skills, attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills
Able to interface with senior executives and other levels of management and staff
Results-oriented, self-motivated team player who is flexible, reliable and able to influence without authority
