A BIS Psychologist positionis now available in Bronx, NY through Adecco Medical & Science.

Adecco Medical & Science has a Part Time – 20 Hours a week that are very flexible, it will also require a later evening on Thursday for team meetings. This is a temp contract.

Psychologist Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the CEO, responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• To have a full and complete knowledge of all government (federal, state, city, county, etc.) regulations relating to Day Habilitation program/DD and IRA Programs. Solicit and include staff input for the development of person-centered treatment plans, behavior management plans, goals/outcomes and consumer clinical sessions for the consumers that
are appropriate to ensure the maintenance of high levels of standards, programs and care.
• Communicate with agencies providing day program services for all consumers for the purpose of providing or seeking information on the area of psychological services as well as day treatment program goals and in general consumer care to insure integration of services PART 633.
• Outline specific interventions designed to support, develop or increase replacement or alternative behaviors and/or modify or control a person's challenging behavior.
• Develop plans identifying target symptoms of a diagnosed co-occurring psychiatric disorder which are to be prevented, reduced, or eliminated.
• Specify interventions that will be used to address associated challenging behaviors that may occur, and methods by which progress in symptom control and functional improvement will be measured, documented, and reviewed.
• Provide ongoing in-service training to assist all staff in the implementation of goals, data collection procedures, etc.
• Provide psychological services for all consumers which will include monthly, quarterly and annual evaluations and reports; treatment and advice in the development of perceptual, sensory-motor skills. Communication and social adjustment through direct individual and group counseling and behavior modification.
• Develop, write and monitor habilitation plans for each consumer as stipulated by Day Habilitation program/DD and IRA programs regulations and as per ITT/Service Plans recommendations.
• Participate in all Agency Standing Committee meetings, including but not limited to Quality Assurance, Incident, Special, Human Rights, Infection Control, etc.
• Participate in monthly meetings with Medical/Nursing, Coordinator of Social Services and Residential Services to review consumer's psychotropic medication.
• Type annual and triennial psychological reports for all consumers when due. Type quarterly and annual DP-lO's for all consumers on/prior to due date.
• Attend and participate in all ITT's, Consumer Clinical Reviews and individual treatment planning processes, procedures and meetings for each consumer.
• Responsible for summarizing IRA consumer goal data and residential, day program and behavior management sections of monthlies, quarterlies and annuals.
• This position reports directly to the Associate Executive Director and in her absence to the Chief Operating Officer.
• Bi-weekly or monthly supervisory sessions will be held with the CRS/ CEO or as assigned. A formal agenda should accompany each session.
• Maintain appropriate records as they pertain to Day Habilitation program/DD and IRA programs for all consumers.
• Responsible for typing all reports, goals, evaluations, etc...
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Appropriate dress for this position is professional business attire.

• Master's Degree from a program in a clinical and/or treatment field of psychology and have had documented training in assessment techniques and behavioral support plan development.
• Must have at least 5 years’ experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including the devising, implementation, and monitoring of behavioral support plans; and/or providing supervision and training to others in the implementation of behavioral support plans.
