For this role, you will be part of a team of Business Analysts within the Medicare Star Data Management and Reporting team. As a business analyst, you will serve as a liaison between business units and the business intelligence and technology development teams. Assist with defining business case and primary objectives for daily operations, issues, and enhancements. Analyze the portfolio of assets and data domains to ensure an accurate end-to-end data flow resulting in the integrity of the original data. You will be accountable for ensuring our business operations provide stellar, efficient, and scalable service to internal customers while ensuring operational excellence and continuity.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Contribute as a BA on a team that is responsible for the daily operations and enhancements to a portfolio of Data Management and Business Intelligence assets utilized for STAR Quality rating improvements
• Interview business stakeholders to gather and determine business needs related to STAR Quality rating improvements by analyzing requirements, defining specifications, identifying impacts, testing, and adhering to current environment, policies, and regulations to ensure alignment with business objectives
• Sufficiently comprehend SQL to ensure business requirement are met and identify gaps
• Analyze and interpret complex data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for the business and clients
• Develop recommended business solutions through research and analysis of data and business process and implement when appropriate
• Collaborate and drive best practices in business process improvement initiatives through the documentation of user stories, business requirements, project documents, business architecture, communication plan, and other written deliverables within an AGILE framework
• Partner with PM, development, and QA teams to deliver new solutions and enhance existing solutions
• Analyze and optimize business processes, monitor and manage KPIs to support short- and long-term operational/strategic business activities
• Produce, publish and distribute scheduled and ad-hoc client and operational reports relating to the development and performance of products, processes and technologies
• Present analysis and interpretation for operational and business review and planning
• Mentor other Jr Business Analysts and assist with their career development opportunities

Required Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience as a business analyst
• 2+ years of experience working with Clinical Data platforms, Data Management and Business Intelligence Solutions
• Proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of HEDIS® and Star Quality Specifications
• Ability to maintain focus and a positive attitude in ambiguous or high pressure situations
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment which requires creativity and self-motivation
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated passion and commitment to positive and effective customer service with track record of matching capabilities to meet/exceed customer expectations
• Skilled in successful execution of operational deliverables, developing action plans to accomplish goals and providing ongoing updates on progress
