Overview of business area or project: In January 2013, the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (“BCBS”) issued the “Principles for Effective Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting” (“BCBS 239”). To comply with the BCBS 239 principles it is necessary to strengthen the risk data aggregation and risk reporting practices and controls around the same. This project aims to define a standardized approach to identify and assess risks and controls related to risk data aggregation and risk reporting as required by BCBS principles.

Key Responsibilities: Documentation of business requirements for Controls and Reporting, defining requirements for attestation process, procedure documentation, creation of flow diagrams for all in scope reports, reviewing the list of controls, processes from audit perspective, help stakeholders with User acceptance testing (UAT). Assisting with creation of governance packs, forums etc.

Challenges contractor will be facing in role: Challenging timelines, global stakeholders

Essential skills and qualifications: Audit and Controls experience, Investment banking experience, self-driven/motivated

Desired skills and qualifications: Should be able to articulate control documentation, define reporting requirements. Able to develop test cases and define operating model for controls testing
