Data Analyst

Position Description:
Candidates will be working on Enterprise Provider Identity Management (EPIM) capability focused on creating an enterprise Provider ID across Optum, UnitedHealthcare and commercial constituents that will ultimately sunset multiple identity-matching capabilities currently supporting Optum and the broader UnitedHealth Group enterprise.

Position/project background: What does this position accomplish for the business – and how will the contractor make an impact?
Helping to establish policies/procedures with respect to a data steward services function for the Enterprise Provider Identity Management (EPIM) capability. The contractor will make an impact by applying their analytical skills toward the development of business process documentation, as well as P&P documentation.

Please describe the team the candidate will be working with:
The EPIM capability team – an initiative intended to create a ‘Master Data Management’ (MDM) capability of Provider demographic data for use across the UHG enterprise.

Specific Duties:
1. Review data ingestion error and warning logs. Report issues to EPIM DevOps team.
2. Review close matches in EPIM review queue, resolve as necessary.
3. Determine ways to improve EPIM matching.
4. Find trends in EPIM review queue.
5. Provide suggestions on fine-tuning EPIM matching algorithm

Must have qualifications/experience:
1. Data Analytics
2. Reviewing and analyzing data
3. Determining trends
4. MS Office

What skills/attributes are nice to have, and will set a candidate apart?
PMP certification; Agile methodology experience; BPM-related experience; Data-management/data science knowledge

What soft skills will an ideal candidate possess?
Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to understand and communicate technical information as it pertains to business processes/procedures;

Are there any other qualifications that you’d look for on a resume (previous work experience in a particular industry, educational background, etc.) that would make a candidate particularly successful?
Healthcare information management; Information Management; Project/Program Management; Data Steward; Data Management;

How will performance be measured?
Ability to produce deliverables as needed by the project/program.

8:00 AM CT to 4:30 PM CT
