POSITION: R&D Business Process Analyst
LOCATION: West Sacramento, CA (Zip 95606)
DURATION: 11+ Months
PAY RATE: $36 - $41/hr
HOURS: 40 hrs per week

Research and Development for Biologics and the PMI acquisition.

The Business Process Analyst – R&D, will play a key role in ensuring process requirements are understood, synthesized, and well-documented. This person will focus on the process side of change – including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary responsibility will be creating the understanding of R&D systems processes and relationships: Understanding how people do their jobs with technology, identifying technology gaps, and mapping or tracking current organizational solutions. The Business Process Analyst – R&D, will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization and greater proficiency of the changes that impact employees in the organization to increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes as it relates to the integration of two large agriculture businesses.

• Take existing process-based maps and define appropriate workflow modules that link to overall Project and Process map
• Manage, plan, and record interviews, process with R&D staff through Phase 2
• Capture strengths and weaknesses during interviews: opportunities to exploit, needs identified
• Identify metrics for measuring impact of change.
• Synthesize overall results into digestible presentations and be able to communicate at a high level the key technology gaps.
• Perform current state analysis of existing business systems, applications and functions
• Answer questions and clarify requirements for problem definition and knowledge flow vision
• Produce timely and high quality requirements-related work products, including requirement specifications and process flows.
• Work with a diverse set of stakeholders and within an interdisciplinary environment
• Travel up to 10% of the time

• BA/BS in related area

Skill & Competency Requirements:
• R&D background, preferably in the Agriculture industry
• 2+ years experience in laboratory research and development
• 2+ years of overall data analysis experience
• Expertise in modeling / mapping as-is and to-be business processes.
• Experience supporting activity and data modeling, development of modern business methods, identification of best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements.
• Demonstrated experience developing or modifying processes to solve complex problems
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Visio.
• Business Process Analysis training, including proper process interview techniques, map simplification, and capturing challenges
• Organizing/Planning/Priority Setting/Time Management
• Understanding Others/Interpersonal Savvy
• Dealing with Ambiguity
• Problem Solving
