Adecco is assisting a premier financial services corporate client in their search for an advanced Business Analyst/Consultant – Applied Analytics - Bridgewater, NJ

Role: Business Analyst/Sr. Consultant
W2: Contract 6 months
Salary: $ depends upon expertise

Summary:

This consultant role is part of a major component of the global operations strategy focused around improving efficiency and effectiveness within the client's claims organization. The focus of the workstream relevant for this role is how to leverage analytics to drive value for the client's insureds, group customers and associates. This position is a business consultant / analysis role charged with taking ownership for the development and implementation of applied analytics within the client's operational processes. This role requires a leader who can quickly master the subject matter expertise, take an analytics opportunity from concept to implemented solution and work with SME stakeholders, their analytics team members and IT partners to deliver real business value.
Key Capabilities required:

Ability to understand the operational and business strategy and the linkages as it relates to the solutions.
Experience and knowledge of analytics solutions from the perspective of solution conceptualization, design and implementation (not execution of the analytical model development)
Business analysis
Ability to drive change within the organization
Design and run workshops
Conduct analysis to generate fact based insights
Project management

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Strong Business Analysis skills and the ability to document comprehensive business requirements
Strong analytical, organizational/planning and problem-solving skills required.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders


Competencies:

Analytical thinking, problem solving, customer focus, demonstrates functional expertise and influencing skills.

Required:

High School Diploma or Equivalency
8-10 years of related business experience, especially in areas such as business requirements definition and documentation, web design, market research, or usability testing.
Knowledge of metrics tools
Knowledge of gathering business requirements using software
Knowledge of the methodologies

Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Background within the insurance and/or financial services industry strongly preferred
Advanced Project management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and many business partners throughout the organization is extremely important.
Ability to work autonomously; effectively handle multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines appropriately and remain flexible
