Our client is seeking a consultant for their Americas Strategic Partnerships team for a six-month term. The team supports client’s Americas Marketplaces business to source, evaluate, structure, negotiate and close bespoke commercial agreements with a wide range of strategic partners. Focus areas may include Merchandising (eBay Deals, Arts & Collectibles, Business & Industrial, Fashion, Electronics, Gift Cards, Home & Garden, Media/Toys/Lifestyle, Motors Parts & Accessories, and Vehicles), Seller Experience (B2C and C2C), Marketing, Shipping, Advertising, Payments, Canada, and Latin America.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Deal Execution:

Initiate, structure and close partnership deals. Negotiate business terms and partnership agreements, including drafting term sheets and supporting the legal team to execute contracts.
Ensure that Marketplaces achieves optimum structure, terms and conditions for each deal, consistent with the overall business strategy.

Strategic Thinking:

Identify, evaluate and develop partnership opportunities based on insightful competitive analysis, market research, partnership landscape planning that aligns with business goals and strategic priorities.

Project Management:

Manage a dynamic set of critical projects simultaneously while driving to delivery against tight timelines.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Selling Experience (B2C and C2C), Business Operations, Analytics, Marketing, Product, Legal, Information Security, Finance, Accounting, Communications/PR and other internal teams to lead, evaluate and execute partnership deals.

Financial Analysis:

Identify KPIs and success metrics for deals.
Analyze financial impact of potential deals, including Excel deal modeling and assessing and making recommendations to executives.


Persuasive and effective communication skills, including ability to create polished executive-ready PowerPoint decks


Bachelor’s degree from a top tier university (graduate degree helpful)
4+ years of relevant professional experience
Consulting/investment banking/consumer Internet backgrounds preferred)
Direct partnership execution/negotiation experience helpful
Self-starter and demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance
Creative problem solver
Excellent communication skills and executive presence
High attention to detail
Outstanding analytical skills and facility with Excel
Exceptional PowerPoint skills and ability to create succinct and structured exec-level presentations
Familiarity with up-to-date web/tech industry trends, specifically as they apply to e-commerce

Interview process: Includes phone call and/or go directly in person (with a total of 3-4 interviewers)
