Business Unit Data Analyst II

Santa Ana, CA

11 month W2 extension possible after 12/31/2018

Pay rate $52.00 per hour

Mon to Fri 8 am to 5 pm

Summary


Develop packages required to transform and load business data from client files.



Translate business and data requirements into Operational Data Structures for reusability and standardization.



Perform regularly scheduled tasks such as analyze data feeds, perform mapping and calculations for target location, prepare reports, review data validations to ensure data quality and integrity of financial data.



Document data mapping, calculations and configuration requirements for each client.



Perform data processing activities that require minimal direction to correct, maintain, enhance, and implement effective and efficient programs to meet customer and business requirements.



Perform predictive analytics to analyze historical data to infer future data characteristics.



Interact with appropriate business customers to create technical specifications for data projects that satisfy customer requirements and represent the most efficient and effective solution.



Investigate and resolve production problems arising from development, system, or design errors.



Provide timely and accurate reports requested of the business stakeholders.


Basic Requirements

• 4 years business analyst experience or 4 years combination of business analyst and industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, information technology, or related field, or 4 years related work experience

Other Requirements

• Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively perform system support duties.
• Ability to learn new applications and equipment.
• Ability to process complex time sensitive data and information from multiple sources, make decisions and communicate actions.
• Keen observation skills to interpret and document complex workflow processes.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and work independently or as part of a project team to complete multiple tasks.
• Requires knowledge of a variety of applications including mainframe systems, Microsoft suite and Rational tools.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

• Project Management experience and/or Green Belt Certification or Business Analyst Certification a plus.
