Adecco is assisting a leading financial client in the Appleton area. We are recruiting and Buying and Purchasing Specialist. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for the procurement of goods and services that meet the needs of the business while meeting purchasing policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

-Coordinates, documents and implements vendor selection
-Negotiating routine purchases, supplies, services and maintenance contracts
-Assists in the development of purchasing standards
-Place and expedite routine orders, negotiating prices as needed
-Prepares purchase orders
-Develops and creates other related purchasing documents
-Maintains a good knowledge of material specifications and standards
-Perform product and industry research under the guidance of a Senior Buyer, manager, or director
-Manages routine buying programs
-Evaluates existing suppliers and develops and selects new suppliers as directed
-Maintains proper records and documentation regarding supplier performance.
-Maintains cooperative relations with existing suppliers and internal business partners
-Interact with vendors and internal partners to resolve product and vendor issues

Qualifications and Requirements:

-5 years of buying/purchasing experience required
-Excellent customer service skills
-Great communication skills
-High attention to detail
-Able to work in a team environment as well as individually
