6 month Contract Assignment
Pay Rate: UP TO $24.50 per hour / Adecco W2 - depending on experience with the requirements below:

Notes from call with the manager for this role:

• Bachelor’s degree + 3-5 years’ experience (experience in purchasing some sort of parts would be ideal – i.e. manufacturing, maintaining a store room; experience with purchasing services is not really transferable)
• Need to be self-sufficient relatively quickly
• Will be purchasing minor materials (Our Client refers to these as free issue materials)
• Very important because these are the materials that their line operations expect to come into their warehouses and expect to have available at all times - they come into the warehouse and expect to be able to load up their trucks with all of the necessary materials, so it is a big issue of there is a shortage of these supplies
• This contractor will be coordinating the replenishment of the warehouse supply levels
• Will work with contractors to procure bulk orders with vendor and have them cross docked/delivered
• Purchase order experience is important
• Ability to work with the vendors to coordinate the orders
• Resolve any issues with the orders if there is a issue (unit of measure problem, need to expedite delivery, packaging issues, etc)
• Will work closely with Sr. procurement specialist in the area (will also back up the Sr. procurement specialist when he/she is out)
• Ability to navigate their way through AssetSuite and answer a question about an order
• Warehouse environment experience would be helpful
• When will resume review be taking place: immediately
• Interviews: phone screen first and then moving to in-person
• Term: The manager doesn’t anticipate an extension because this is to cover for an extended leave for someone who is anticipated to return
• AS8 knowledge: highly preferable (SAP or another system in lieu of AS8 will be considered, but only if we cannot find someone with AS8 experience)
• Would consider someone with more years of experience in industrial/manufacturing buying experience in lieu of a degree? Yes
