Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Buyer / Planner position in Lincolnton, NC.  This is a great long-term temporary opportunity. Responsibilities for this Buyer / Planner job include:

Responsible for reviewing material planning requirements (MRP) and purchasing activities for select suppliers and assigned parts in support of Production, non-production and/or After Market business.

Quality and cost efficiencies based on volume

Monitor and assess vendor delivery and quality performance.

Responsible for price and delivery negotiations

Responsible for selection of optimum vendors based on cost/quality metrics

Create and compile performance reports for suppliers and service for Business Units and suggest plans to achieve performance objectives.

Setup and monitor Kanban and/or other systems to maintain material flow to production lines



Solid written, verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook), Internet, etc.

Experience with ERP systems including inventory planning and purchasing.

Strong analytical skills

Excellent teamwork skills ability to work in cross-functional groups, preferably multi-national

2-5 years of previous experience


Hours of work:  40 hours – Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.


Pay rate: 25.83
