Buyer Relations Specialist

Adecco Creative is assisting a national client, a leader in the B2B tradeshow industry, find a Buyer Relations Specialist for their team.  This position is based in White Plains and will work directly with buyers / attendees by phone and email to provide high level customer service to ensure a positive show experience. This is a temp to perm opportunity, with an hourly pay rate of $21/hour.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Primary focus towards increasing show(s) attendance by outreach to target VIP attendees by telemarketing in regionalized areas and for the top-prioritized event as directed by manager
  • Educate buyers / attendees on all aspects of event--including but not limited to assisting with registration, VIP / New Buyer events, club lounges, matchmaking services, walking tours, educational offerings, review of floor plan and navigational tools such as the online show planner and any apps
  • Become an expert on the show, understand brand and it’s KPI’s
  • Handle buyer / attendee issues, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives
  • Continually develop an understanding of the business and the retail industry
  • Results reporting and tracking of projects
  • Operational support in all marketing initiatives related to Buyer Relations dept.
  • Maintain an awareness of content on all social media channels and encourage buyers / attendees to engage with the brand on all platforms
  • Other duties as assigned

 

As a qualified candidate you will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 to 5 years relevant customer service experience with a focus on client services, both telephone and in-person
  • Experience and a passion for trade shows- preferably relating to retail, gift, lifestyle and home furnishings
  • Strategic and creative thinker.  Ability to analyze data and convert into ideas and actionable programs, marketing, etc.
  • Multi-tasking capabilities in a deadline driven, goal oriented environment.  Strong time management skills and self-driver
  • Highly organized, excellent oral and written communication skills, high attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.  Experience in CRM systems a plus but not required
  • Professional demeanor and able to interact with all levels of management
