Adecco is recruiting for a temporary position (3 months with a possibility to go perm) as a Buyer/Planner in Whippany, NJ. The position is responsible for but not limited to planning, scheduling and purchasing activities. If you meet the qualifications below, please APPLY NOW!


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review daily clean can build and releases, print job packets, assemble and distribute.
  • Update job shortage report weekly.
  • Monitor job shortages and expedite internal and external suppliers and update Syteline with new promise dates and notes.
  • Enter work orders and release for outside process, Special Work Instructions and Special Repair Orders.
  • Review engineering change orders and disposition accordingly.
  • Production & spares PO expediting, updating Syteline with new promise dates and notes.
  • Submit gage requests, track gages and expedite returns from suppliers.
  • Execute and track data (quotes) for new business RFQ’s.
  • Track and expedite srmr’s and srd’s from engineering/quality.
  • Send open order reports (OOR), manage data and Syteline changes from OOR responses.
  • Support Return To Vendor process/transactions
  • Support MRO buying and MRO invoice rectifying
  • Track conflict minerals responses

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or similar field preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a Purchasing or Planning role required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ years of experience supporting MRP/ERP systems (Syteline preferred)
  • Proficient in purchasing / planning and analytics tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

Pay: $25-28/hr
