Assembler : Production Assembler

Position Requirements:

  • High School or GED
  • 0 Years of Experience
  •  Previous small part assembly / manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Previous microscope experience.
  • Previous soldering experience.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks
  •  Participate in team activities with enthusiastic engagement.
  •  Positive interaction with other employees and supervisory personnel.
  •  Reliable and cooperative in performing all duties.
  •  Organization & problem solving skills.
  • Attendance & dependability.
  • Commitment cooperation & flexibility.
  •  Ability to read and understand basic instructions, such as job routing sheets & insertion guides.
  • Numerical ability to identify numbers.
  • Basic use of math.
  • Complete time cards, production sheets and other necessary calculations.
  • Ability to use simple measuring devices, such as 6-inch ruler, metric ruler, calipers, and testers.
  • Ability to differentiate colors for assembly process.
  • Good manual dexterity.


  •  Successfully exhibit the skills and abilities of a Production Assembler I.
  •  Comply with Company Safety requirements 
  • Attend and participate in safety committee and safety response team as needed.
  •  High level of awareness, early identification, and prompt correction of unsafe conditions.
  •  Exhibit safe work habits so as to avoid work injuries and illnesses.
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment as required.


  •  Successfully exhibit the skills and abilities of a Production Assembler I.
  • Produce 100% defect free products.
  •  Understand and support Quality System.
  • Perform quality work so as to continually reduce scrap and rework.
  •  Collect data, make charts and take appropriate corrective action as needed.
  •  Participate in audit teams as needed/requested.
  •  Perform final audits.


  • Successfully exhibit the skills and abilities of a Production Assembler I.
  • Continually improve individual time on each operation performed.
  • Help with inventory concerns, identify discrepancies & report them to the Lead Person.
  • Participate in corrective action.
  •  Support commitment to 100% on time shipments. Be available to achieve delivery goals

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  •  Performs routine assembly tasks from routing instructions or direction from Team Leader (Engineer, Line Leader, etc) as part of an operations team.
  • Complete manufacturing paperwork, such as in labor and traveler records.
  • Participate in cross-training as applicable.
  •  Solve problems within the scope of the position.
  • Trains and mentors co-workers as required.

Working Conditions Work Environment: Manufacturing one piece flow assembly (depending on product line)

Atmospheric Conditions: Quiet, clean, fast-paced, high volume demands.

Temperature Extremes: Comfortable room temperature

Materials, Tools and Equipment Used: Microscope, tweezers, soldering equipment, pliers, cutters, hand crimpers, hot tweezers, airtools, measuring devices, and electric equipment
