Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a Direct Hire Calibration Technician I Job in Ft. Collins, CO for our client, a reputable designer and manufacturer for control solutions for aerospace and industrial markets. The Calibration Technician I is responsible for providing calibration and maintenance of standards and measuring and testing equipment (including, but not limited to mechanical, electronic, size, temperature, pressure, weight, and gas and liquid flow) and ensuring company calibration program is compliant. Our client seeks a candidate with an Associate of Applied Science degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience and with good knowledge of the measuring and test equipment used to verify products.

Responsibilities for the Calibration Technician I Job in Ft. Collins, CO includes:

Perform calibration, adjustment and repair on company measuring and test equipment.
Observes readings and adjusts calibration mechanisms to obtain specified operational performance. Rejects malfunctioning devices and may disassemble instrument or device to determine cause of defective operation.
Troubleshoot and repair measuring and test equipment.
Maintains accurate calibration and recall records in the TGMS or Metcal system.
Generate calibration reports and support documentation.
Determine calibration requirements for new measuring and test equipment.
Write/develop preliminary calibration procedures.
Recommend new laboratory standards requirements.
Recommend work methods to ensure accurate calibration.
Participate in internal and external audits.


Comprehensive knowledge in some or all of the following areas:
Electrical/electronic theory; mechanical principles; and hydraulic systems
General knowledge of, or ability to learn, metrology principles and measurement methods.
General knowledge of, or ability to learn, Calibration laboratory principles and practices.
General knowledge of, or ability to learn, statistical and quality control methods.
General knowledge of, or ability to learn, standards to which various measuring and test equipment is calibrated.
Ability to learn and apply various software packages and company systems, including Met/Track, Met/Cal, and TGMS. Ability to apply systematic problem-solving techniques.
Ability to read prints.
Knowledge and understanding of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing principles.
Associate of Applied Science degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
