Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a Direct Hire Calibration Technician II Job in Ft. Collins, CO for our client, a reputable designer and manufacturer for control solutions for aerospace and industrial markets. The Calibration Technician II provides calibrations and maintenance of standards and measuring and testing equipment (including, but not limited to mechanical, electronic, size, temperature, pressure, weight, and gas and liquid flow). This role also identifies magnitude of error sources contributing to uncertainty of results to determine reliability of measurement process in quantitative terms. In addition, this role develops calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy and precision requirements. Our client seeks a candidate with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Metrology, graduate of a military metrology/calibration program, or equivalent experience and also 5 years of experience in a Calibration Lab.
Responsibilities for the Calibration Technician II Job in Ft. Collins, CO includes:


Utilize gage reproducibility and repeatability as part of the calibration process.
Research new laboratory standards requirements.
Purchase new laboratory standards.
Identifies magnitude of error sources contributing to uncertainty of results to determine reliability of measurement processes in quantitative terms.
Works with engineering, quality, and laboratory personnel in design, manufacture, evaluation, and calibration of measurement standards, instruments, and test systems to ensure selection of appropriate instrumentation.
Validate automated calibration procedures. Develop new measurement systems.


Qualifications:
Demonstrate solid performance as a Calibration Technician Level 1, plus: Comprehensive knowledge in some or all of the following areas:

Electrical/electronic theory; mechanical principles; and hydraulic systems Demonstrate solid knowledge and application in metrology principles and measurement methods.
Demonstrate solid knowledge and application in calibration laboratory principles and practices.
Demonstrate solid knowledge and application in statistical and quality control methods.
Demonstrate solid knowledge and application in standards to which various measuring and test equipment is calibrated.
Ability to learn and apply various software packages and company systems, including Met/Track, Met/Cal, and TGMS.
Ability to apply systematic problem-solving techniques.
Ability to operate in a multi-tasking environment of constantly changing priorities.
Ability to prioritize work requirements
Ability to read prints.
Knowledge and understanding of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing principles
Associate of Applied Science degree in Metrology, graduate of a military metrology/calibration program, or equivalent experience
5 years of experience as a Calibration Lab.
