Capital Equipment Sales Rep 

The Outside Sales Representative builds the company’s topline and bottom line sales through a consultative selling approach by meeting the equipment needs of existing customers and identifying new prospective customers by using the internet, following leads from existing clients, and attending trade shows, conferences and customer sites.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Meet personal and team sales targets.

• Make personal sales calls at customer sites on a regular basis.

• Establish and maintain customer relationships to grow profitable sales.

• Seek prospective customers/business opportunities with new and existing customers.

• Report competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management.

• Maintain and expand client database within their assigned territory.

• Create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process.

• Fulfills customer needs for current literature, catalogs, product pricing, etc.

• Completes expense reports on a timely basis in accordance with company policy.

• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university, or five to ten years of related experience and/or training in Machinery Sales in food manufacturing/packing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience and Background:

  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite of products; Word; PowerPoint; Excel, company ERP System (Traverse)
  • Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Must have equipment/ machinery sales experience

  • Observes safety and security procedures
  • Ability to travel up to 30% - 40% of time
  • Driver’s License – good standing
  • Flexible on location of employee, but preferably in Midwest or East Coast
