Career Adviser Case Manager

Responsibilities, Qualifications, & Details:                 

  •  Enroll WIOA eligible clients in individualized career services, verifying all eligibility documentation. Open and close service activities and enter case notes in NCWorks as appropriate to clarify client status.
  • Coach clients in utilizing NCWorks to research all available training provider options in field of interest as well as developing customized job search strategies with clients.
  • Ensures client files are pre-certified prior to moving client to next step.
  • Along with the client develops Individual Employment Plans (IEP) and action plans to facilitate goal-setting and implementation of decisions.
  • Manages expenditures through the IFT system in NCWorks.
  • Provides ongoing support and encouragement during program participation.
  • Provides case management services within required WIOA guidelines.
  • Collects information and ensures case notes are entered and ensure client files are up to date according to local and state requirements.
  • Maintain and document regular and consistent contact with all participants according to local and state requirements.
  • Develop relationships with training providers, make site visits and regularly obtain data on successful completion and job attainment in field of training. Reviews potential career pathways and labor market information to identify transferable skills currently in demand.
  • Conduct ongoing research, partner with internal and external resources to maintain knowledge of current employment opportunities and high demand professions. **Stay up to date with current labor market information and high demand professions in the local area.
  • Enters employment follow-up into NCWorks as appropriate.
  • Exit clients from program upon completion of program participation according to state guidelines.

Support career center activities including special projects and initiatives.
