Caregiver Excellence Coordinator

A Caregiver Excellence Coordinator position is available in the Bergen County, NJ area courtesy of Adecco Medical and Science.
The Caregiver Excellence Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Manager of Caregiver Excellence in building a high-performance, low-turnover community of caregivers unsurpassed in New Jersey for warmth, professionalism and reliability.

Major Areas of Responsibilities:

Assist the Manager of Caregiver Excellence in:


Recruiting outstanding caregivers
Hiring only those caregivers who meet the client’s standards
Measuring and evaluating caregiver success
Providing Caregiver Associates with the support and development they need to thrive
Celebrating our caregivers
Ensuring full compliance with applicable parts of New Jersey regulations


Specific Areas of Responsibility

Recruiting outstanding caregivers


Placing ads
Coordinating and participating in recruiting events
Update recruiting report
Planning and coordinating promotions to increase referrals from current caregivers
Track and distribute referral bonuses


Hiring only those caregivers who meet client’s standards


Conduct first interviews and decide whether to advance candidates to the second round
Participate in final hiring decisions
Backup client’s applicant and phone screening process
Ensure that all applicants are welcomed warmly, treated with utmost respect during the entire hiring process, and thanked for their participation
Update the hiring report
Comply with Federal and State laws in the hiring process
Ensure that all candidates possess the credentials required by policies and New Jersey regulations, and that those credentials are documented electronically
Process CORI and drug tests, and evaluate results relative to company standards
See evidence that all candidates meet company health requirements
Order first interview “thank you” chocolates
Assist in evaluating hiring productivity
Set up new Caregivers in Generations system


Measuring and Evaluating Caregiver Success


Update the Daily Performance Report
Review daily performance and report outliers to the Manager of Caregiver Excellence and when appropriate, communicate performance issues directly to Caregiver Associates
Ensure that all caregivers have up-to-date credentials and other required documentation
Coordinating the production of the monthly Caregiver Excellence Awards


Providing Caregiver Associates with the support and development they need to thrive


Coordinate and participate in new Caregiver Associate orientations
Order and distribute uniforms
Collect and record initial availability for newly-hired caregivers
Assist in evaluating new Caregiver Associate performance and acquisition of knowledge during orientation
Following orientation make sure that each new Caregiver Associate’s file contains a thorough accounting of his or her skills, skill proficiency, and personality traits
Assist in carrying out the company’s “Success in 90” program
Do regular caregiver support visits to foster stronger connections with caregivers
Coordinate the company’s On-Going Learning program
Coordinate annual Caregiver Associate evaluations
Keep the caregiver Distribution List up-to-date


Celebrating Our Caregivers


Assist in the development and implementation of informal and formal recognition programs for Caregiver Associates that achieve certain milestones, do extraordinary things, receive high marks from clients, etc.
Coordinate purely social events for Caregiver Associates to meet other Caregiver Associates and members of the office team


Other


Participate in the on-call rotation
Back up colleagues as necessary

Qualifications:


Educational Requirements

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college


Credentials: None required, but certification as a nursing assistant preferred
Experience and skills

2 to 5 years of work experience
Track record of commitment, teamwork and outstanding results
Passion for excellence
Strong attention to detail and organization
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
