Adecco is assisting a local client in Costa Mesa, CA to assist with their search for a Cash Application Specialist. This is a temp-to-hire role and this client provides document and technology solutions. The pay rate range is $18-$20/hour, the hours will be 8AM-5PM Monday through Friday. Cash Application Specialist is responsible for posting payments to the appropriate customer account, researching payment discrepancies and preparing bank deposits.

Job Duties

  • Prepare and post cash receipts daily
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Research and reconcile posting variances
  • Communicate with the A/R Department regarding unknown payments or payment variances
  • Verify and reconcile all cash and checks received at front counter for all service center locations
  • Scan all checks, batches and reports
  • Run reports and prepare journal entries for month end
  • This position requires overtime during critical deadlines - specifically month end close


Education and Experience
Minimum 1-year previous cash application experience. This position requires a strong attention to detail and accuracy. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with customers, management and service center employees.
Must have intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
