2 years of experience working in a Pharmacy setting required. ( This is not negotiable)
Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
2+ years data entry experience in a pharmacy setting- (data entry, creating profiles, knowledge of medications) flexibility with schedule and attention to detail.
Schedule: Flexibly from 9:00am to 7:00pm. Will be 9:00a to 6:00p or 10:00a to 7:00p
Pay Rate: The wage for this position is between $21 and $22. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location and other factors.
Review contents of referral to ensure complete and accurate information has been received.
Create a patient profile from a scanned or faxed image by entering correct patient and provider information to ensure all other groups can successfully serve the patient.
Conduct initial check of prescription to ensure clinical accuracy for processing .
Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns so that all information is collected and accurate before it reaches other teams for furthering processing .
Updating concise progress notes to ensure other roles within the workflow can quickly assess the status of the referral.
Enter new provider information (i.e., National Provider Identifier) accurately into the system so that the Business Intelligence group can complete their reporting.
Perform other duties as assigned
What do we need from you?
High School Diploma required.
Healthcare experience/2+ years pharmacy experience preferred.
Current CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification required; must be current, without restrictions.
Prior experience working in a Pharmacy setting required.
Effective communicator.
Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
