- Reports to Crew Chief
- Construct, install, maintain, upgrade, and remove outdoor advertising structures under the direction of crew chief.
- Operate independently
- Operate trucks, welding and burning equipment and other equipment, valid CDL a plus but drivers license required
- Responsible for their portion of required paperwork related to the implementation and completion of a job. Including but not limited to: time cards, work orders, safety-compliance, and vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Responsible for assisting crew chief to address all issues that arise on sites.
- Able to work alone or in crew with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to read load charts and blue prints, have essential math skills
- Travel and overtime is required.
- Responsible for maintaining an inventory of welding materials, tools and supplies necessary to complete welding and burning tasks related to each job.
- Responsible for maintenance and repair of welding and cutting equipment.
- Responsible for proper fit up and welding of materials.
- Responsible for priming and painting all welded material.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Install, remove and rotate outdoor advertising displays and extensions consisting of vinyl, wood or other material.
- Loads and unloads trucks
- Helps set up ladders and safety equipment to build or climb up sign
- Cleans work area, tools and equipment
- Performs other duties pertaining to the completion at the job at the direction of journeyman, crew chief or other supervisor.
- Is required to ensure that job site, employees, and independent contractors, maintain safe work practices as required by local, state, federal, and company, policies and guidelines.
- Drives vehicles when required
- Works effectively in a team environment
- Able to give and understand hand crane signals
- Ensuring the job is complete, jobsite is clean and organized. All Material is primed and painted before leaving the job site.
- Maintaining assigned vehicle including repair, maintenance, cleaning, organize and stock for each job.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Able to lift heavy objects and walk / stand for long periods of time.
- Able to perform strenuous physical labor, sometimes under adverse conditions.
- Climbing ladders and/or stairs and work at elevations from 10 feet to more than 100 feet
- Lifting and positioning ladders, safety equipment and materials in excess of 85 pounds
- Standing, bending, stooping, lifting, positioning, holding, pushing and pulling self, materials and equipment in excess of 85 pounds
- Use pulleys, lifts, slings and other equipment required for elevated work
- Operating welding equipment, chain saws, jack hammers, air impacts and various other equipment and hand tools
- Hoists, aligns, erect, lift, sets and assembles structural steel and sign components
- Driving and operating trucks, cranes, vans and other equipment associated with the job
- Digging and shoveling of various soils concrete and fill materials.
EDUCATION AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid welding certificate by an accredited testing facility
- Valid CDL a plus
- Comprehend and communicate complex oral and written instructions.
- Basic computer skills.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
