Chemical Handler Warehouse 3rd Shift

Overview

Receives, stores, and distributes material and products within the distribution center by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

  • Unloads product from transports; separates, counts and verifies inbound freight to packing slip before utilizing and/or transferring product to storage.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving to storage or to other designated areas using motorized equipment and the WMS System.
  • Complies with RF directed instructions displayed in the RF handheld unit to place materials or items in predetermined rack or storage locations.
  • Complies with RF directed instructions to determine products and locations to complete orders.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock locations, places product on pallets and transports to the shipping department, stretch wraps pallet and locates pallet on specified lock location.
  • Replenishes master reels to the cutting area.
  • Places product on machinery to measure and cut customer specified lengths of product and transports to the shipping department.
  • Secures material on pallets or reels and marks materials with identifying information and labels
  • Cycle counts locations as assigned by WMS System or Management.
  • Complies and takes full responsibility to support facility’s quality program.
  • Complies with all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

 

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Able to work in a face paced environment.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Associate is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to walk and talk or hear. Occasionally required to sit, stoop and crouch. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, associates is regularly exposed to moving mechanical equipment; frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, and occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
