A Clinical Pharmacy Services Manager position is available through Adecco Medical and Science with one of the leading health plan providers in Rancho Cordova, CA! You will be responsible for providing drug information expertise for the Pharmacy Services Department and Health Care Services. You must have an active CA state pharmacist license.

Clinical Pharmacy Services Manager Job Responsibilities include:

Manages activities of staff engagement in development and maintenance of good working relationships with pharmacies and to increase provider participation in the organization’s programs and network.
Develops and manages existing cost reduction programs.
Promotes Pharmacy participation in programs to increase and enhance competitive position in the market place.
Manages relationships between health plan provider and pharmacist to resolve questions or problems in contract interpretation, program implantation or claims administration.
Develops and enhances pharmaceutical programs to provide quality service to members and promote cost savings.
Provide pharmaceutical expertise for evaluating and implementing programs; provides professional information to all internal departments as needed.
Manages department activities. Establishes department goals and action plans to support corporate objectives. Monitors and reports on progress in completing projects and accomplishing goals.
Provides developmental and training opportunities for team members; monitors on-going performance; communicates expectations and results on a regular basis; communicates changes in guidelines, policies, procedures and other related matters.
Provides technical support and guidance to less experienced team members. Oversees research activities and evaluates findings.
Prepares annual operating budget and monitors costs to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines. Directly supervises employees, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws.


Qualifications:

PharmD degree and at least 5 years of experience in clinical pharmacy
Current CA state pharmacist license
Extensive experience in Clinical Pharmacy and Managed Care Administration
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a combination of functional and supervisory capacity
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent familiarity with MS office applications
Excellent math, analytical and problem-solving skills
