A Clinical Specialist job is availabe courtesy of Adecco & Science for Advanced Bionics located in Valencia, CA! AB develops cutting-edge cochlear implant technology that allows recipients to hear their best. At AB, our mission is to improve lives by developing, manufacturing, and supporting high-quality, state-of-the-art hearing technology for those with significant hearing loss. You will work under the direction of the Regional Manager to increase AB sales, expand existing sales base, pursue new business opportunities, strategically plan sales activities, identify target accounts, & sell through clinical support activities to help achieve 100% to plan. This is a Full-Time Direct Hire opportunity fo the right individual!




Clinical Specialist job duties are:

Identify issues that are affecting AB sales at the centers; develop and execute plans to overcome objections.
Demonstrate the ability to articulate the value of AB products, service & support programs & competitive advantages.
Monitor sales at the centers, determine the market size and AB market share and be able to forecast accurately.
Provide on-site clinical support for patient fitting & device programming at cochlear implant centers.
Provide support on other clinical issues involving cochlear implants, such as candidacy criteria, assessment procedures, difficult case management including integrity testing, program building & clinical studies, seeking input from appropriate personnel.
Effectively train customers on the theory, features & use of AB systems by incorporating key messages & positioning.
Develop a time & territory management strategy & work with the Regional Manager to fiscally manage territory budget.
Work closely with the BEA to appropriately identify volunteers & utilize the volunteer organization to increase sales.
Work closely with Education & Training to develop advanced training events to meet the strategic need of the region.

Work directly with referral sources within the region if the activities will positively affect sales.




Must have qualifications are:

General knowledge of cochlear implants and related fitting issues. Experience with AB and competitive products preferred.
Familiarity with behavioral and objective procedures used to assess implant candidacy and the benefit for adults and children.
Knowledge of electrophysiological testing with implants (ESRT, Neural Response Measurement) preferred.
Good communication and time management skills.
Experience fitting and troubleshooting patient’s external equipment and software issues preferred.
Must be an effective teacher and be able to assess the effects of training, and identify areas in need of additional training.
Must be willing to travel greater than 50% of the time.
Must pass the Advanced Bionics competency exam with a score ≥ 90%.


Required Education/Experience:
Masters or Au.D. in Audiology (or related profession); Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology or ABA Certified
