Clinical Support Specialist/Sr. Pharmacy Technician

A Clinical Support Specialist/Sr. Pharmacy Technician job in Warrendale, PA is now available courtesy of Adecco Medical & Science. PTCB certification is required along with previous experience in a hospital pharmacy or healthcare industry is required. This is a full-time position, but the ideal candidate must be available to travel more than 80% of the time. The ideal candidate will execute employee and customer training, coaching, and support for products; be primarily responsible for being the product expert and has direct involvement with the implementation of the product and also be actively involved in the setup, configuration, testing, and training and go live.

Job Duties:

Subject matter expert and product consultant for newly installed automation products.
Provide instruction and consultation regarding standard operating procedures, best practices and problem resolution.
Provides best practice advice and input for customer process discussions.
Assist with procedural and workflow changes needed for successful technology adoption.
Responsible for integrated application testing; provide feedback to analyst on required changes.
Assist program management, Project Managers and Engineers with client implementation and go-live as needed.
Complete special projects, reports and status updates on a regular basis for program management and project teams as necessary.
Maintain a high level of communication with the project team concerning all levels of client interaction.
Escalate issues and concerns to Pharmacy Service Manager or Project Manager.
Performs required tasks to ensure timely go live and customer satisfaction.
Performs go live support as per the project scope.
Assist with procedural changes needed for technology change management.
Submit and closeout all related project documentation.
Assist with obtaining customer acceptance.
Collaborate with internal departments such as Training and Documentation, Product Management, Customer Support and Technical Account Management to provide input in developing mutually viable solutions for the automation product.
Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
Participates in planning processes by establishing personal goals to support quality improvement.
Maintain fiscal responsibility for business related expenses associated with Company-issued credit card.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED
PTCB certification
Previous experience in hospital pharmacy or healthcare industry.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work well with customers and with employees at various levels.
A self-starter who is able to work independently and follow a detailed plan.
Ability to assist with analysis of training needs and to conduct training sessions.
General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Must be able to travel more than 80% of the time
Must be able to push heavy equipment and have good dexterity for doing routine configuration tasks.
Working knowledge of adult learning techniques.
Knowledge of pharmacy automation.
Prior experience as a project/implementation contributor/team member.
