Adecco is currently looking for experienced, reliable CNC machine operators for an outstanding opportunity with a world-renowned manufacturing company of products for the Aerospace, Automotive, Consumer, Energy, Defense and Industrial marketplaces. Individuals will be responsible for operating, programming and maintaining our various CNC machines.

PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

  • Setup, operate and debug CNC lathes per instructions from lead programmer/operator
  • Adjust tool offsets as needed to maintain part quality.
  • Make minor program changes as needed.
  • Identify signs of tool wear and make appropriate tool change(s).
  • Read process sheets, technical documents and mechanical drawings with the understanding of GD&T.
  • Work on multiple machines and perform multiple tasks throughout the day.
  • Use general measuring instruments such as; indicators, micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, gage blocks, rules, protractor, CMMs, laser micrometers, smart scopes and height gages.
  • Enter inspection data into SPC software.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance such as changing fluids and filters.
  • Maintain an immaculate work environment and machine work area.
  • Follow company written policy and documented procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

Education:

  • Technical Training Certificate relating to CNC operation and/or Tool maker apprenticeship.

Work experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience setting up and running CNC Lathes and Mills or Technical Training College with the focus of study being CNC setups and operation.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing environment is desired.
  • Experience operating within AS9100 (preferred) or ISO systems.
  • Strong computer skills including high proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and blue print reading.
  • An understanding of Metric and English measuring systems.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of measuring equipment.
  • Experience working with INCONEL and other exotic and difficult to work with materials is a plus.

  • Great communication skills, written and verbally
  • Able to work in a small team setting.
  • Strong work ethic.
