CNC Machinist

Our client is a leading industrial food processing equipment manufacturer with a global network of manufacturing, sales and service locations. We push the boundaries of technology, application innovation and service to give our customers the most value possible. They juyt renovated our machine shop with 17 new CNC Machines, air conditioning, new paint and natural light in the shop. 

CNC Machinists set up, program, operate, and edit all levels of work on the CNC lathes and mills to machine metallic and nonmetallic work pieces. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Completing program folders with required information.  Noting other information related to job problems and performance
  • Working with appropriate personnel to resolve job related problems such as tooling, fixtures, chucking, and program and blueprint specifications.
  • Verifying conformance of work piece to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
  • Studying manufacturing orders and organizing materials and tools for next run during automatic controlled cycles to shorten changeover time.
  • Lifting work piece manually or with hoist, and positioning and securing work piece in chuck or fixture, or mounts between centers. 
  • Removing burrs, sharp edges and clean parts
  • Studying program, blueprints, manufacturing drawings, tool sheets and manufacturing orders to verify they are correct
  • Maintaining high ethical and quality standards; and correcting your own errors; and, regularly producing accurate, thorough, professional work.
