CNC Operator / Direct Hire

As a CNC Operator you will be responsible for set-up and operation of CNC Mill / Lathes.  This client is a manufacturer of specialized band clamps, v-band couplings, flanges, ducting components and a variety of other fabricated products for all industries.  If you enjoy production and have related work experience, you’re a perfect fit.



Here’s a preview of what you’ll be working on as a CNC Operator:

  • Reads and interprets work instructions, prints, and job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions.
  • With assistance, troubleshoots, edits, and optimizes new production programs to ensure efficient overall production
  • Calculates and sets machine controls to specific work orders and regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed and coolant flow.
  • Document new program changes and processes to ensure setups can be duplicated and overall production time is optimized.
  • Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Deburr parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Setup machines on a flexible basis to ensure optimum output throughout the shop.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Three years’ experience as CNC mill/lathe operator to include one year of set up, or completion of a Certified (known high quality) Apprenticeship in Tool & Die Making, Machining, or a comprehensive and documented industrial-based Machinist Training Program considered the equivalent to 6,000-8,000 training hours in duration.
  • Basic computer and computer aided machinery skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints. Read basic measuring devices including micrometers and calipers.
  • Must be able to lift between 25 - 35 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally between 35 - 50 pounds. Considerable standing, stooping and bending is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

This is a Direct Hire full time position with overtime as needed.  Pay rate is $16 to $19 based on experience, however, client can be flexible.
