Account Specialist position involves making outbound calls and receiving inbound calls on a daily basis, notifying individuals of their outstanding debts, assisting in finding funds to meet obligations and making arrangements for payment of those debts in full. You will also provide efficient and accurate account updates on computer files for each call made.

Full-Time & Part-time (20 hrs min) Available
Hours for Account Specialist: Monday-Friday 12p-9p, Saturday 8a-5p.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1._____ Follows the 8 Steps of Collection procedure (identify consumer, identify self,request payment in full, psychological pause, determine the problem, find the solution and obtain a commitment to pay the account in full, close the deal, update all files).

2._____ Follow federal and state regulations in all aspects of the collection process.

3._____ Use a sales and motivational approach with consumers to achieve payment in full. Approaches based on consumer feedback. (ex: Quick Checks, Credit Card, Loan Sources).

4._____ Make decisions on when and what actions should be taken, according to procedures, to collect accounts placed for collection.

5._____ Update and document accurately all necessary information on accounts such as new insurance information, bankruptcy, name/address changes, consumer disputes, etc. . .

6._____Meet with consumers face to face to assist in the resolution of payment in full on account balances.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and / or one to two years of related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some college courses and bi-lingual skills preferred.

MUST pass Criminal Background, Credit Check & Drug Screening.
