Responsibilities, Qualifications, & Details:
Job Title: Commercial Loans Closing Specialist
6+ months contract

Closing responsibilities include leading the effort in the pre-closing, closing, and post closing process on basic (1) commercial real estate loans including construction, term, lines of credit, and letters of credit; and with some supervision, contributes to the processes on moderately complex to complex real estate loans, which may include syndications, and (2) Community Development construction real estate loans for low income affordable housing, financed with multi-family housing tax revenue bonds (both private placement and public offering), low income housing tax credits, state and federal funds, and various other private and public financing. Review of loan approval and loan documents prepared by legal counsel to ensure consistency, mitigate risk, check for adherence to approval and regulatory requirements.

Servicing responsibilities include being the client relationship primary point of contact for all servicing related activities. Independent management of standard commercial construction draw processes to ensure consistency, mitigate risk and ensure adherence with documentation and all regulatory requirements and, with some supervision, managing moderately complex construction draw processes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, reviewing construction draw packages, identifying and helping to resolve construction and title issues, keeping accurate records of loan budget and all sources of funds, ensuring loans are in balance and in compliance with all approvals, and monitoring documentation requirements and exceptions, including interest and past dues.

Interacts directly with Client Management team, borrower, legal counsel, construction consultants and title companies to ensure the delivery of World Class Service. Effectively manage through collaboration and proactively contributes to project and initiative development

Requirements:

2+ years of Commericial Lonas Servicing and Closing experience

Two or more years previous commercial real estate loan administration experience or real estate paralegal experience
• Finance or Accounting experience a plus
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and credit and operational risk management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to influence, effectively collaborate and coordinate closing activities with a variety of business partners
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to simultaneously manage multiple loan closings and competing priorities
• Technically proficient, including Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook
• Two or more years previous commercial real estate construction loan administration experience
• Finance or Accounting experience
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and credit and operational risk management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to influence, effectively collaborate and coordinate servicing activities with a variety of business partners
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to simultaneously manage multiple loan disbursements, Service Modifications and competing priorities
• Technically proficient, including Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook
• Solution oriented problem solving skills
