SUMMARY:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Serves as a communications lead in developing and implementing strategies and programs to communicate the company�s business objectives, culture and values, and in coordinating and executing various community relations activities on behalf of the company. Partners with management to plan, develop, implement and evaluate communication programs to strengthen our overall efforts in support of the company mission.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
� Takes a leadership role in planning and executing internal communications and community relations initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall global communications strategy, messaging, and branding.
� Partners with various organizational leaders to develop and execute impactful communications strategies for key company initiatives.
� Reviews and edits essential internal communications prior to dissemination to ensure accuracy, clarity, appropriateness and a �corporate voice�.
� Takes a leadership role in consulting businesses leaders on appropriate communication strategies, content, messaging, and channels to best reach the targeted audiences ensuring overall strategic alignment and compliance with corporate branding requirements.
� Writes and edits content for various communications initiatives and partners with supported teams engaged in related initiatives. Serves as editor for all corporate communications.
� Manages day-to-day content and execution of internal and external communications channels such as employee meetings, emails, company intranet, posters, ads, video, social media, etc. with very little or no supervision.
� Proactively communicates and interfaces with departmental contacts to keep intranet content current, accurate and consistent.
� Manages relationships with local community and charitable organizations; organizes employee events focused on raising funds for partnering organizations.
� Facilitates effective linkages and partnerships with external entities to support social media strategies.
� Monitors work to ensure quality and continuously promote Quality First Time. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
� Excellent verbal communication, writing, project management, web development, video production, graphics, and presentation skills are absolutely essential for this role.
� Results-oriented team leader with great people and change management skills to lead crossfunctional teams to drive communication and program results, within budget and on time.
� Skill in serving as a communication consultant to multiple levels of management in planning, developing, executing, and monitoring communication strategies.
� Ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects and assignments at once in a very fast-paced environment.
� Ability to effectively coordinate and lead large corporate events.
� Ability to motivate and energize employee teams in a direct and matrixed organization.
EDUCATION:
Formal Training/Education:
Bachelor�s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field required; master�s degree strongly preferred.

Experience:
� Minimum 5 years of corporate communications experience.
� Experience in video production (script writing, storyboarding, directing, and post production oversight).
� 3 years event planning experience in a corporate environment.
� Experience in the diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or high technology industry a plus.
