We’re hiring for a Contract (18 months) Community Development Specialist to work for our client located in Downtown Cleveland, OH paying $15-20/hr.  If you have excellent communication skills, are detail oriented, accurate, and a self- sufficient hard worker then you are the perfect fit! 

 

This is a great opportunity to assist in the coordination and management of community development programs and initiatives. The Community Development Specialist will primarily assist with the preparation and completion of the CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) exam.

 

Here are some of the responsibilities you’ll have:

  • Analyze internal and external data to ensure the bank's compliance with CRA.

  • Review and maintain all required documentation related to volunteerism and philanthropy

  • Adheres to bank policies and procedures and complies with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Follow, or in some cases establish, as required, effective controls and processes to ensure risks are measured, monitored and controlled and compliance requirements are adhered to on an on-going basis.

  • Keeps abreast of risk-related changes that may impact assigned work functions and processes.

  • Assists in coordination and management of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) activities for an assigned area or region.

  • Determines the needs of communities, community partners and prospective clients.

  • Coordinates and facilitates volunteer initiatives, as well as presentations regarding CRA activities to community groups and bank personnel.

This is the background we’re looking for in a Community Development Specialist:

  • Bachelor's degree (REQUIRED)

  • 1 -3 years' experience working with organization coordinating events, providing administrative support, as well as developing relationships within the community.

  • Community Development (CRA) related experience preferred

  • Must have excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills, including professional grammar and demeanor.

  • Ability to develop working relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization.

  • Strong organizational details with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Shift: Hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM, (this is a flexible shift with a guaranteed 30-40 HOURS A WEEK)
