Adecco Creative is assisting our client, a well-known women's retail brand, in their search for a Social Media Community Management Specialist. This is a full time freelance role, working 40 hours per week onsite in the client's Mahwah, NJ offices, and has the potential to become temp to perm. 


Company shuttles to/from NYC are available as are shuttles from the Mahwah, NJ train station. 


As a Social Media Community Management Specialist, you are responsible for managing the day to day flighting, scheduling, and reporting of all social posts on all of the brand's social accounts. The role encompasses creating, monitoring and growing all social communities. You pride yourself on staying current with the latest social media trends and developments, and have strong analytical and communication skills.


Responsibilities will Include:

  • Executing all social media content calendars to ensure they reflect company objectives through scheduling, posting, and ensuring all social calendars are up-to-date.
  • Creating weekly and monthly social media reports to measure the success of social accounts, campaigns, and creative on an ongoing basis to be delivered to various departments inclusive of executive leadership.
  • Monitoring and tracking conversations on brand channels and relevant to the brand as well as crisis management.
  • Moderating comments, conversations, social mentions, while trouble shooting any customer or audience feedback.
  • Measuring how brand campaigns and product launches are being received on social.
  • Managing sweepstakes, giveaways, turning customers into loyal fans, network with other online communities, and offer feedback for when the brand can offer “surprise and delight” moments.
  • Respond to customer service issues and customer inquiries through the personality of the brand.
  • Stay up-to-date on channel best practices, insights, pop-culture, and relevance in the industry.
  • Help the Social Media Manager to define the social brand voice as a part of the strategy to be legendary on social.
  • Actively search for engaging, elevated user generated content, opportunities to engage in trending social conversations
  • Provide weekly competitive reports to our Social Media Manager.
  • Tackling other projects as needed by the Social Media Manager to keep us running a social well-oiled machine.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related fields
  • 2-4 years’ experience managing day-to-day social media activities, scheduling and flighting at a brand or agency is a must
  • Ability to provide analytical reporting
  • Experience working with a Social Tool such as, Sprout, Hootsuite, Sprinklr, etc.
  • Demonstrated passion for social media and keen awareness of channel best practices
  • Excellent creative and analytic skills with the ability to use both interchangeably
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Enthusiasm for technology
  • Ability to multi-task, work within a deadline-oriented and fast paced team
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Deep knowledge of social networking platforms and their potential applications to drive business results
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign a plus
