POSITION:  Compliance Analyst 

LOCATION: Austin, Texas

HOURS: 1st shift 8hr. day; 40hr. wks. M - F

DURATION: 6 months (contract)

PAY:  $45/hr.

 

More of a business analyst position than a data analyst researching OFAC sanction list members, investigating client’s transactions for unusual activity - would be a 50/50 split on daily responsibilities 

Description:

 

Under direct supervision of Compliance Operations Team, this individual will work with a team of analysts responsible for supporting the ongoing maintenance, production, and development of client's Compliance Program. This position will require the candidate to conduct investigations and analysis relative to watch list screening, transaction monitoring, and customer due diligence. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing watch list screening alerts, researching watch list entities while compiling and documenting findings from multiple sources.
  • Conducting periodic reviews of previous researched watchlist information for any material changes.
  • Investigate and analyze AML rule outputs for unusual activity.
  • Complete basic research of compliance operational outputs including transaction monitoring, and customer due diligence.

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of AML experience; including OFAC, Transaction Monitoring, and KYC
  • Working knowledge of AML, EDD and KYC regulatory requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work independently with direction from leadership or senior analysts
  • Demonstrated success of reviewing customer data with emphasis on risk evaluation
  • Intermediate analytical research and investigative skill set including experience with customer research and transactional analysis
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel)
  • Assist Senior Level Analysts and management with escalating potential risks
  • Ability to work independently and use of judgment
  • Support of Periodic Review triage processes
  • Experience in BSA and AML investigations, familiarity with BSA and AML regulatory requirements, and familiarity with OFAC sanctions and regulatory requirements
